My friend Chrissy and I ran the Great Urban Race this weekend in downtown Dallas. The race is kind of like a mini "Amazing Race" where you are handed 12 clues and go out around town trying to solve them. We had to do things like identify smells in liquid form at a body shop, core out a pumpkin at the local farmer's market, take Texas two step lessons at a night club, find a specific clock and take a picture of it on the hour, find licence plates with
certain letters, statues,
donate toilet paper to a shelter, etc. It was so much fun!

All the teams were required to match, and costumes were encouraged. It was fun watching all of these crazy teams run around Dallas. Several people would stare as we ran by, would stop us to see what we were doing, or would take pictures. At every stop, you were required to take a picture of what you found with your teammate. It was nice when you made it there the same time as another team so you could just swap cameras.

We're not sure how we did yet....results will be up tomorrow, but all we care is that we had a great time. Next year we're challenging the hubbies!
That is sooooooooooo awesome! How fun are the two of you! So glad you all had a great time. Love the outfits!
That looks like so much fun!! Salt Lake did one of those this weekend, and we really wanted to do it, but it was $50 per person! Maybe we'll save up for next year.
What a fun race. How did you end up doing?
