Hero of the week

Every Monday morning at school there is an early morning assembly and each week one student and one teacher are nominated as the "Hero of the Week". Ryley was surprised to find out that this week it was him. He was honored for showing the quality of generosity twards others.

Here is the story that was shared with the school. "As we were walking out of the gym Ryley saw a student who had their backpack all over the floor. She was trying to collect all her stuff but could not figure out how to carry the juice boxes too. She was overwhelmed and overloaded with stuff to bring to her Valentine's Day party. Ryley rushed over and picked up the heavy drink boxes and carried them to her class. What an excellent way to show generosity!"

So, for the rest of the week Ryley's picture will hang in the school hallway and he has the hero of the week trophy that gets to sit on his desk. We are so proud of him!
