The Highs and Lows of Planet Earth

For those of you that haven't had a chance to see the documentary planet earth, you really should watch it sometime. Trevor has been fascinated with it since they started playing it on the TV's at Costco. It's the main reason why he loves Costco in fact. Well this evening, they showed a few hours of it on animal planet and Trev was THRILLED. He was just entranced sitting there in front of the tv. Here are the boys watching part of one episode.

We just did not expect this. Trev cried and cried as soon as the commercials went on. Not a temper tantrum cry, but an I'm so very sad cry. It was if we had taken away his best friend. It was really sad the first time around, but the second and third time was kind of funny, so we figured we should take some pictures.

Here he is once it came back on....happy as ever.

But then the crocodile ate a wildebeest, and it was tears all over again.

He didn't want to stop watching though......so here is thrilled again when the elephants came on.

Such an emotional rollercoaster for such a little boy. We shouldn't have laughed I suppose, but we couldn't help it. Who knows how many more times we'll have to go through it though since we recorded it for him on the dvr.
